I have tried twice to use a pharmacy discouncard on prescriptions that were not covered in the $3.00 plan and was told that I could not. Ingles gives discount.

Bull ***. Pharmacy Discount Card says that Ingles accepts and then tells me that no they don't accept.

Called Pharmacy Discount Network and was told to have Ingles call. THey won't even do that. Ingles say that they will beat other store prices but they are higher and do not have that great of service.

I will be changing.

I hate rude people. I hope others were not treat like this

Monetary Loss: $11.

Location: Hickory, North Carolina

The problem with many of those discount cards is that they actually charge the pharmacy computer to "talk" to the processor just to transmit. So, they are charged $1-$3 whether you decide to get it or not.

It may return with a price of $25 when you could of got it for $16 to begin with. The computers return a cash price when wanting to be quoted very high on some drugs. The best thing to do when paying cash is to shop around and they will usually price match if it can be verified by phone and is equal to or above the cost paid for the medication.

Some pharmacies are not even able to match prices or even know the acquisition cost. Some drug prices have exploded so shopping around really does pay.
